Hadassah’s Global Campaign Continues its Life-Saving Mission

For over 100 years, outstanding care and innovation in medicine have made the Hadassah Medical Organisation in Jerusalem a beacon of hope. Renowned for its medical excellence, the hospital is committed to providing advanced healthcare, fostering groundbreaking research, and offering world-class teaching and training.

In every emergency, Hadassah Hospital stands ready to care for all – Jew and Arab, secular and religious, Muslim, Christian and Druze – united by healing in a common quest to preserve life.

In these difficult times, as thousands of Israelis urgently require rehabilitation and mental health support, the need is greater than ever.

At the Gandel Rehabilitation Centre at Hadassah Mt. Scopus, patients like 23-year-old Hananya are enduring intensive therapy, learning to walk again after devastating injuries – combining painful physical exercises with vital psychological support to cope with their trauma.

In addition, over a million Israelis are expected to need urgent mental health care as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression and other trauma-related conditions surge across all age groups. Hadassah, as Jerusalem’s main provider, must now expand its capacity to meet this soaring demand. That’s why expanding the hospital’s rehabilitation and mental health services is a critical priority.

As the hospital continues to care for the wounded, support families, and address the long-term effects of trauma, the Hadassah UK charity is joining a global movement of healing and hope, to support Hadassah in developing three key areas:

  • Open new outpatient areas for rehabilitation:

Going home is only the beginning of recovery. Patients still return to Hadassah regularly to continue their therapy – but with the Gandel Rehabilitation Centre still incomplete, there simply isn’t enough space. Many patients come less often than needed or leave treatment too early on in their recovery process.

  • Expand mental health support for children, adolescents and adults:

Hadassah is treating the deep psychological impact of the ongoing conflict, offering a lifeline for all those significantly affected. Expanding trauma services, growing clinical staff, and enhancing specialist training ensures patients receive the care they need to heal, recover and rebuild their lives.

  • Provide holistic care so patients can thrive:

Our teams of dedicated professionals help patients not just survive, but regain their independence, dignity
and emotional well-being.

Hadassah leads Israel’s national medical response in times of crisis and peace — saving lives, restoring hope, and strengthening resilience. Hadassah is more than a hospital, it is also a symbol of humanity and coexistence, standing ready to bring the finest medical care to all those who need it.

Hadassah UK invites you to join our global mission of healing— together we can help rebuild lives.
