Hadassah UK and Maccabi GB launch brand new project ‘Just For Kicks’
Wednesday 21st October, London – On Monday 19th October, Hadassah UK and Maccabi GB announced the launch of a brand new project, ‘Just For Kicks.’
‘Just For Kicks’ is a fun initiative allowing people to support not only their favourite football team but also nominate their rival football teams whilst donating to two fantastic charities.
Hadassah UK proudly support Hadassah hospital’s mission of healing, teaching & research within peaceful coexistence, dedication to saving lives today, and finding medical solutions for a world of tomorrow.
Mark Addleman, Hadassah UK Executive Director commented ‘We are really delighted to partner with Maccabi GB on the ‘Just for Kicks’ project which will both benefit sport in Great Britain and seriously ill children in Jerusalem.’
Maccabi GB is Britain’s leading Anglo-Jewish Sports, Health and Wellbeing Charity and has flourished for over 80 years. Their mission is to support the long term future of British Jewry by engaging and developing the entire Jewish Community with a broad range of sporting, educational, social, health and wellbeing activities, whilst promoting Jewish Identity and the centrality of Israel.
Maccabi GB Vice Chairman Jonathan Prevezer commented ‘We are very excited about this new project. It is a great opportunity for all devoted football fans to not only support your favourite football team but to get pleasure out of the demise of your arch enemies…… but, much more importantly, by donating funds to two incredible charities at the same time. We are proud to partner with Hadassah UK on this.’
All participants are asked to choose their favourite team and up to three rival teams upon registering, along with which competitions they would like to play in. Every time their favourite team wins, they put away £2 and when their rival teams lose, they put away £4 to donate to charity. All proceeds will be split equally between Maccabi GB and Hadassah UK.
Maccabi GB and Hadassah UK are looking forward to seeing how ‘Just For Kicks’ takes off in the next few months, with the football season now back in full swing. We hope that all football fans will #playOURgame.
