On October 7, helicopters arrived at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital with scores of wounded IDF soldiers and civilians. Since then, the hospital has saved the lives of hundreds of patients who were severely injured in the Hamas attacks and ensuing war in Gaza.
Hadassah is urgently scaling its capabilities to meet the need for specialised and complex surgeries. Our technologies and equipment infrastructure, while competent during peacetime, must be upgraded to cope with the increased demand. It is imperative that Israel be fully prepared for all contingencies.
Hadassah Ein Kerem is creating a sheltered surgical pavilion to prepare for a surge in critically injured patients with six additional operating rooms in The Sarah Wetsman Davidson Hospital Tower.
These state-of-the-art operating rooms will be fully equipped to perform complex, life-saving surgery embracing the newest protocols and technologies — such as high-precision advanced robotics, computer-assisted surgery, and intraoperative radiotherapy.
The Surgical Pavilion will significantly enhance Hadassah’s ability to treat soldiers and mass civilian casualties, greatly increasing our wartime hospital capacity:
