Hadassah UK uses an email newsletter to inform subscribers about our projects, campaigns and the latest news coming out of Hadassah Hospital. Users can subscribe through an online automated process on the Hadassah UK website but do so at their own discretion and subscription only takes place once you have given your explicit consent. Some subscriptions may be manually processed through prior written agreement with the user. We use Mailchimp as our marketing platform. By clicking subscribe, you acknowledge that your information will be transferred to Mailchimp for processing.
Subscriptions are taken and held securely and in accordance with the Data Protection laws. No personal details are passed on to third parties nor shared with companies/people outside of the company that operates the email platform. You may request a copy of the personal information held about you by this platform. If you would like a copy of the information held on you, please write to us by email or post.
Email newsletters may contain tracking facilities within the actual email. Subscriber activity is tracked and stored in a database for future analysis and evaluation. Such tracked activity may include, but not be limited to; the opening of emails, forwarding of emails, the clicking of links within the email content, times, dates and frequency of activity.
This information is used to refine future email campaigns and supply the user with more relevant content based around their activity.
Subscribers are given the opportunity to unsubscribe at any time through an automated system. This process is detailed at the footer of each email newsletter. If an automated system to unsubscribe is unavailable, clear instructions on how to unsubscribe will be detailed instead.

When you are on a secure page, a lock icon will appear on the bottom of web browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Non-sensitive details (your email address etc.) are transmitted normally over the Internet, and this can never be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. By way of example, this may happen if any of our servers are from time to time located in a country outside of the United Kingdom. These countries may not have similar data protection laws to the UK. By submitting your personal data, you’re agreeing to this transfer, storing or processing.
If we transfer your information outside of the United Kingdom in this way, we will still take steps to ensure that appropriate security measures are taken with the aim of ensuring that your privacy rights continue to be protected as outlined in this Policy.
